Notes from the 2021 Ascutney race
Eric Blake won with for the fourth time and recorded his fourth time under 29 minutes. He owns four of the top six times (Eric Morse has the other two sub-29 times). He also ran the 2nd fastest time in the 40-49 trailing only his record from 2019.
Corey Dowe won in the seventh fastest women’s time.
Erik Vandendries ran the 2nd fastest 50-59 time which was also the Age Group Record (AGR) in the 55-59 age group.
Rich Larsen (at age 69) broke the 60-69 AGR and the 65-69 AGR knocking over a minute off the previous standard.
Donna Smyth and Jacqueline Shakar both came in under the previous 60-69 AGR. Smyth also set the 60-64 AGR.
Suzy West set the 55-59 AGR.
Six men set single-age records and two women (West & Smyth) did as well.
